Is it common for old men to marry young JW?

i left in the 90's and marriage partners were similar in age at my former congregation.

i ran into a former jw friend from my childhood.

i haven't seen him in 15 years.

I said this before, the borg is a paradise for men, young and old. I was

new in the org. and my book study conductor had recently lost his wife.

One night after the book study he was talking about why he needed to get

married. The brother was very horney, he made it clear when we were talking, LOL.

This brother had just retired so he was in his 60's, he married a sister in her 40's.

After he got married the book study I may say was less tense...

Just had a blow up with jw mom and she said the bible referenced angels being called gods, it that true?

long story short my mom was acting weird, snubbing me, when i tried bringing her grandkids to see her, so i tried again and this time i just went up and hugged her since she wouldn't hug me or acknowledge any affection.

when i released her i immediately saw her annoyed look and asked what?

bang, she unleashes a floodgate of how she's still mad at me for going to another church that believes the trinity.

Clambake: It's funny you mention "learn how to play a guitar". I learned, me and

15-20 other seniors. We performed for our families last friday. We were 25 strong

and we rock the house, over 100 attend .

Maybe you don't realize but many here are learning new things since leaving

the borg, but by commenting on "Faith" subjects it keep our minds sharp.

Many here still have family members in that cult.

Nicola: I looked at the first video ,Stephen Bohr. Question for you,

he open up his sermon "The book of Genesis is the pre history of

mankind, the origin of mankind, the begaining of human history.

Mankind began 6 thousand years ago, so did all the animals.

OK, do you believe that?? He did mention we won't go back to the millions

of years he created this earth only six thousand years ago when all living things

were created. Sorry I could not go any further..

startingover: you are right . I remember when I became a JW no one could tell

me anything, I knew it all. I have the answer for every question for life here and

the hereafter, LOL. But I have learned to hold my tongue not to preach my belief,

only when it is necessary. What's my belief, hell I don't know but I know the bible

and it is not that.

God gave us free will and thus allowing us to face the consequences

of our choices solves nothing. If the creator could intervene personally

when it came to the magic tricks in the Bible like making the sun stand

still for a day in a BATTLE, he could do something to feed a starving

kid.

Theology tries to paper these horrible facts over with explanations about

why there is evil is nothing but BS.

performed. The priest notice him and ask him if he wanted to find Jesus.
